I'm going to have to find some of that shit. Do you buy it at grocery stores or convenient stores or what?

Seems like there are some odd reflections in the first shot...do you have light sources that aren't behind a white sheet? Looks good overall though, I made one very similar to it a couple of years ago...

That's very cool. I may have to attempt to do this myself.

OT, but I was in Germany over the summer, miss it really bad. I have no idea why you moved back over here....

There's just some hot spots on the can...looks like a focused, small light source...that make sense?

Looks good, I did something similar with material from Micheal's. I was thinking about making a larger light box using white bed sheet to diffuse the light. Ikea sells flat sheets for cheap and you can make a whole box with one sheet depending on the size.

I used thick (2mm) poster/foam board and translucent card stock for the diffuser windows on the sides and on top. as for the black background, a simple thin (the thinner the better as i learned) poster board. all from Michaels arts and crafts store. the local Photo store out here had a "professional light box" (made in china) that cost almost $120. i made mine for a bit under $50. and the quality is much better than the Chinese stuff.

Here is the second shot i took. i added the text of course, but man, i like it. almost looks worthy of a magazine add.. no?

                            Looks great

Now you gotta try this...using the black poster board lay a sheet of glass or plexi-glass over it then put a high quality model car on top...

i did the same thing about a year ago, cost less than 40 bucks total and made it alot simpler. here's some samples of my work.

                              and my setup

please excuse the shallow depth of field, i didn't have a tripod that low at the time to allow for longer exposures

here's more work throughout this thread
