Thanks, just what I needed and probably one of the best chops I've seen in a while, I posted over at BF and got likr 40 views and no help
What do you guys think? I'm thinking gloss black in cosmos. I've always ran silver wheels on all my bimmers, always wanted a black/polished set.

Just curious why you want pics of cosmos black/gloss black wheels. Gloss black isn't really cosmos. I have two M3s - one jet black (BMW's gloss black - aka glanzschwartz) and one cosmos black. Cosmos is a much more complicated color due to all the different colored flakes in the paint. It can look blue/black or even orange/black in differing light conditions.

FWIW, I prefer my cosmos car's color over the jet black one. The jet black paint looks so one dimensional in comparison. But if I was doing wheels on my cosmos, I'd probably do a gloss black and search for the most durable paint possible. I love BMWs but hate what brake dust can do to wheels.

I'm aware of the difference between cosmos and gloss black, my '92 was 668 jet black, my m3 is 303 cosmos and I also prefer cosmos, its just more interesting to look at. My m3 can look deep blue/gray when direct sunlight or headlights shine on it. I was more interested in seeing if I'd like a matte or traditional gloss black whether it be cosmos to match or just straight black, doesn't matter. I'm getting them refinished over the winter and wanted pics to take out some of the guesswork.

Hey, E30SPDFRK, just for shits and giggles, can you do gold and bmw's new ferric gray centers?

                  Here is ferric grey

What shade of gold do you want? If you can get a pic I will try to match it.

                    Ferric gray looks good.
Could you use the pic of the whole car so I can see what the black centers look like from afar?

                    Heres a gold lm pic.

The ferric gray looks best with these m par reps but matte black can look very good like this:

^that looks pretty good, but im not sure if its because of the contrast of the white paint. never been a fan of murdered out.

Yeah, all black wheels look good on alpine white but hard to pull off on black.
