yeah, the streamlines are a pretty bad representation of the better product.
i have 500megs of images of pressure, speed, temp, etc of everything from 100 mph to mach 2. (been crunching nonstop for the last 48 hours)
i'm processing some of the pics to share shortly.
bear with me ;)
oh, and the purpose of this to be completely for eye candy... i have yet to input the proper variables that would best represent what i understand to realistic aerodynamic calculations
a few years ago a comparison of some studies came out that showed that the e30 m3 Evo3 has the same amount of downforce as a lambo diablo
...we arent talking about drag, mind you.
Too bad DC is gone... he had real data from an e30 that he measured with the wind-tunnel in his shop.
Is there any way you can get the dimensions from a db E30 and a plastic E30 to see which is more aerodynamic? This would be useful information the next time I am asked why I didn't get a plastic E30.

It's cool, but honestly unless there's a way to model the length of the cross-section it would be pretty much worthless (Unless there is a way to account for it). The only place where that pressure distribution would be accurate is directly over the centerline of the car.
