Business card help!!!

hey guys im a tattooer at evolution tattoo in santa rosa im doing my new business card right now and i need some help with p.s
here it is as of now

so i want the whole background to be mostly black if you could i want it to have a nice smooth fade from the black to white but i want it to halo the girls head so theres like only a small amount of white showing on the edge of the girl and on the bottom i would like the black fade to cover up probably like half of the rose. let me know if your in to helping me out or if you want anything. thanks.

i think antiquing it might be cool too, like a brown tint over the girl and the white so its not so harsh with the black backgrond. i can add all the text to it. whoever helps out will get a good discount on a tattoo if they live near by.

yeah i drive the black 325is thats parked out front of evolution everyday. cool let me know. i have another friend working on it he says hell be done soon but if u want to at least try ill still take care of you.

i think u drove right up next to me one day in front of the shop ur car looks familiar.

That's what I was going to do. Beat me to it, plus your pshop skills are more advanced than mine. Looks like what he was asking for me to me. Good work.

Did you use the laso tool with like a 5px feather? Or how did you do it?

its all about time saving my friend..

-use the magic wand to select what i could from the surrounding areas of the girl
-delete selection

after the girl was on a layer by itself..

-use layer styles 'outer glow' for white glow around edges
-after applying the layer style right click on it in the layers window
-click 'create layer' (this bring the layer style to its own separate layer)
-use eraser tool to delete outer glow from the flower/plant

back to the girl layer...

-apply a layer mask to the girl layer.
-use gradient tool [with default colors selected (black/white) ]
-hold shift then apply an upward sweeping gradient to the flower..

It could have been better but that takes time and time is money.(unfortunately thats how it works)
