Yes, vector art would be ideal, especially for logos like straight6pwr's and mtech2_touring's. It would make it a lot easier for the person doing the poster to incorporate them in. Either vector art or at least save versions of them as .eps or .png files with a transparent background.

personally, i think it may be one to many elements for a logo, but thats just me. should be the name/word/phrase + one memorable image.

Raxe, or original designer...

Can you try this on the umbrella design:

Rotate the umbrella counter clockwise, so the umbrella is a little more behind the '0' of E30 and possibly behind the 'C' of picnic. There seems to be a little too much emphasis on the umbrella right now, IMO.

Then, darken a little more of the umbrella handle, to make the "I" of picnic just a little more obvious. Keep the german flag stripe. The splash of color is nice.

Thanks to all that are generatic ideas. Once we get past the deadline the local committee will review them all and decide which one to go with. There are more than one I'd be totally happy with using.
