My 195/60/14 Azenis are stiffer overall then my 205/45/16 General UHP's. They grip better, they roll less, etc. And of course my 205/55/14 V710 r-comps are probably 10 times stiffer then my Azenis.

The actual tire is much more important then the size.

Thanks for the info!! it looks like i will be rockin' the stock weaves to the track.... it doesn't look like i will be getting hubcentric rings in time for the BBS RKs...

(yeah i know funny time to reply to this particular post)

I've never heard of anyone stealing shit from anyone else at summit. It's really low... I've had a few ppl borrow tools without asking but they always give it back. But then again, the drift crowd is about 90% ppl you know and could track down...

    well two hours ain't bad.

good that there's a place to put stuff. I am sure my Brother will be able to watch our stuff since we are in different classes and won't be racing at the same time i guess...

But yea, bring fluids and hose clamps and tools and shit. You never know. If you do break something, LMK, I have tons of spare parts lying around and have contacts for anything else. Where in MD are you?
all right that makes me feel better!

i am in Belcamp, MD (google maps is your friend).

I hope i don't break anything, because i have to drive home, so i won't be pushing too hard (at first), but i will bring as much stuff as i can. Is there a place to safely put it while i am racing?

Just take it easy on the track and don't stress too much about it. You'll have more fun than you ever imagined. I normally do the track sideways though. Have someone take pix of you and put them up!

If you have any questions about the track, how to get there from the main gates, or whatever pm me. I'm not a track official but Im a rep the Drift Nirvana series that Summit Point runs.

    that's awesome!!

yeah i am sure i will have fun! i will probably be pretty nervous though going out there. I am sure i will probably break something in a very embarrassing way right away.

Anyway i am going with my younger Brother, he is taking his 95 M3, so we will definitely get pics and they will most definitely be up here on R3V!

i google mapped the track, i'm sure i will find the place i need to be.

Yeah, the same tire in a 40 series vs. a 60 series sidewall, given the same tread width, with have more sidewall flex with with 60 series. That's not always a bad thing though. It's not going to 'roll off the rim'.
