I was thinking about that also, I was going to put flanges in where the car would go so I could just unbolt the cat and put in a "test pipe" then have a flange on the back also so I can havea muffler, or unbolt that for a straight tip.

I saw his plates, very nice. I am having the local off road truck builders make my skid plate up to rock crawler specs :)

    I'm diggin' those wheels!

I think a stout skid plate is in order. Bill Doyle, of Lynn, MA and cagethis.com makes a killer one. He's the guy that built my cage.

And as far as the straight pipes, I'd check with your sanctioning body. Rally America makes you run a catalytic converter, but some use the cat as the muffler. In RA's events, the car has to be street legal.

Mainly just body work and body kit fittings in here, I havent taken any pictures of the engine or suspension cause theres not much to see there. I will take some pictures of when I do my diffs, axles, drive shafts and bushings later this month.

I am building a 325ix rally car right now. Working on getting the body nice now, have the suspension in the works. Engine will be a 2.7i (seta/i) with headers and straight pipes.

Rally isn't for everyone I guess.

My attention span is too short. I need new turns every time and never the same course twice.

If with regard to the "not many RWD rally people" ...please elaborate...

there are plenty of RWD and FWD cars that rally. Just because huge corporations get overexposed with their awd highly budgeted monsters don't mean there aren't many 2WD. Driver, not always technology (though it helps sometimes).

Personally, any exposure to rally be it 2wd/awd or 1wd due to a busted diff....would be great fun and enjoyable [to me]

Right on. Starting on car this Thursday and running right through to July 25-ish, anytime in between.

    Tell O'Neil I said hey.

:( i'll be there with enough enthusiasm for the both of us. But let me know when you are starting on your car even if during the week. I'd be more than happy to help.

Give me a holler if you need assistance. I might be able to climb out from underneath my car and climb under your car.

NEFR is looking grim for me.

I have all the pieces I need (I think) waiting on a couple small parts on order...then to coordinate with FredK and perhaps narrow down a place to swap.

The earliest it appears that i'd be able to start is next weekend. I'm hoping it goes smoothly though, because I have so many new/used parts on standby.

I'll probably be leaving thursday night or VERRY early Friday morning. Worker Registration is 7am then the meeting is 10am
