it's a drift track that autox is being run on. No runoff room makes for very dicey events IMO.

They are building runoff into it but have just been busy lately. The lanes are pretty wide so unless you are pushing it way too hard, you won't go off. I've slid off of it a few times and almost always gotten back on under my own power. And I was drifting 100% of the time.

nice pix! glad you had fun. whens your next one?

              Status: HG repair. 488wtq though!

sweet. I'll look into it when I'm bored at work tomorrow.
how pissed do they get if you drift? I want to try gripping but sliding it is a little too natural for me.

I drifted around the sweeper every time. No one got pissed, i did hear someone mention that we shouldn't specifically TRY to drift as opposed to try to get the best time, but if we got a little squirley it would be ok. Also because it was a brand new track.

lol yea but when I get pissed, I drift full on.

brand new track? What washington? I drifted on it literally 2 days after it was paved. It was sticky as SHIT. I hit 60mph before kicking it sideways on the big circles.

PS: how many runs did you get?

you couldn't possibly get to 60 on the summit point autocross track, at least my car can't before i would have to maneuver through more cones.

I got like 8 runs. 4 official and 4 fun runs.

you had cones, I was given a car and told to "Just go". So I gained speed around the biggest circle. My point is that the track was really really sticky.

i would have turned it into a drift event.

Generally frowned upon at an autocross event, but not against the rules I guess. Where in the complex did they build this? I live 15 minutes from it and have been there 1000 times and have never seen this part of SP!??!
