Shh, don't tell them about that.

Mr. Penguins, please educate yourself on the principles of recording and what an "input level" is. That is point one.

Then of course comes my second, and I think more valid, point: Fucking why?

Gotta put the hooker somewhere (herpes is terribly unsightly) and life isn't always like Weekend At Bernies

I was talking about the exhaust, but you make an interesting point: I don't see the need to wrap a hooker up in a rug when some newspaper, a heavy duty trash bag and a hacksaw can make for much easier transport...

Straight pipes are fun, but I found that it drowned out important sounds like my tires telling me they were out of grip. :)

My pigs like the visual treat that is such a garish and - frankly - offensive rug such as the one posted.

I dont understand why I need to educate myself about the principles of recording when all I care about is not getting black flagged.... plus even if i put my computer 50 feet away I am pretty sure that it would saturate its microphones

and the reason why im doing this if you read my first post is that the exhaust is built for a track car... thus less weights roughly translates to less work for the engine and indirectly means the car is more powerful.

Because if you reduce the input level on the mic you can actually record an accurate representation of the motor sound.

unfortunatly I didnt care enough to go on a timely tangent to figure out how to reduce the input level of my internal macbook pro laptop. Also I call false evidence that car ceases to live.

Only if it's machine made. It looks a bit like an Isfahan or Tabriz, if it's hand made, and if it was silk it would be worth some money.

However I doubt he'd be using it to take pictures of his exhaust on if it was.

and if we need to be critical then that video has to much resonance to be considered quality.

screw the rug--nice set of off-season rollers in the back round.

Mine was recorded on a Macbook Pro as well...

Take six seconds and look around your System Preferences, you'll find it. It's under "Sound" (the one with the big speaker) and then under "input." I think you can also adjust it remotely through iMovie though too, which is probably how I did it.

I'm harassing you because I have no car (check the posting date, well before Bambi) and I'm an asshole on the internet but I do honestly want to hear your exhaust. If you get a chance to make a video with the input levels set lower post it up, I'm curious!

I didn't want to jack this thread so I figured a link was less rude.
