Grand Am race in Montreal yesterday..

since I had family over had to watch this race off the dvr this morning. Left this race with three thoughts...

    1. Carl Edwards couldn't say i'm sorry enough
    2. Rain is the great equilizer
    3. After watching the cars struggle for grip, what kinda horsepower are the DP and GT cars putting down anyways?

    Fun race to watch nonetheless.

You got something against healthy road racing series?

Does watching an Acura race an Acura, or an Acura race, well, no one work better for ya?

Edwards redeemed himself in the Busch race today - damn Ambrose must be pissed, that was wild.

Swing wild, brake later, don't apologize.

It could be worse... you could be on fire... or like Chevys.

Seems a little high, I'm pretty sure the 3 rotor non-turboed wankel cars aren't making that much, and from what I've seen, the LS2 & LS6 powered cars are restricted pretty much to around ~400 or so.

When Katech was building our engines it was 426 HP for the LS2. Someone like Lozano Brothers Performance can knock down more.

The GXPR teams used Katech because Pontiac would cover some of the cost. When GM performance get out of racing, some of us went looking for HP elsewhere. A lot more.

The RX8's are 420-435. You can make about 150HP per rotor NA. I don't know what they are now since Grand AM restircted their RPMs.

Ah, wow, thought they choked them down more than that.

                You with the Sahlens/Nonnamaker guys?

I used to work for Stevenson. I worked for Nick and Sylvain when they came to town this year.

I miss it, but it's nice being home with the family. Besides I want to start driving. I'm tired of gasing them up and watching them drive off. LOL
