Just make sure to read through all the rules b4 you show up. They'll have random little things they'll want. I'd never even think of some of them.

I just did my first event as well, and definitely need more practice. And, it rained for the actual timed event. (we have practice Sat., then official times on Sun. I'm assuming most clubs do it this way.) I'm hooked, definitely.

Tech for most groups isn't too bad, jst a tug on each wheel to check for loose supension bits, check brake pedal feel, look for a solid battery tiedown, no iffy catchcans or wiring, no driver's side floormat, nor loose stuff in the passenger compartment.
