I was there with my buddies -- #84, Barbarian Motorworks, the pink and black E30.

I got good sessions in behind the wheel both Saturday and Sunday. Friday practice sucked because of the rain.

Just made it back to San Diego about 3 hours ago -- long tow. Drove South past Stockton last night after the race, then did the last part today.

My new enclosed trailer was a lifesaver all weekend, especially during the rain on Friday.

Working on video from our in-car camera now.

Hey, congrats on the win. You guys did a great job.

Too bad about weinersmoker. I think that was the only real e30
                  casualty of the race...

Those pics are great. Not sure about my favorite car of the bunch, either uberbird or the plaid Cadillac with the horns on top

                      Thanks.

B-Team blew a head gasket on Saturday. Their thermostat disintigrated, and the stainless pin got stuck in the water pump. Crazy. Anyway, I gave em a new gasket, they swapped it and got back on track on Sunday, but appeared to have blew it again?

I also handed out a set of 4 lug bolts to some E30 team. I can't remember what their problem was, since I was stressing about how much fuel my car had at the time.

Congrats to Laz, and the rest of the Pandamonium team!

Have no fear; der Wienerschmoker will race again. We're currently working out what we want to do with it for next year. We might pound out the hood, and just go roofless. What we do with the engine is going to depend on how much of the busted valve cover got ingested by the timing chain (inspection pending). James (my teammate, who was driving during the roll) actually shut off the engine himself after it rolled, so it's hopefully ok.

Are any of you E30 teams talking about the Chump Car 24 Hour event at Willow Springs in late January? I think that's our next race. We're skipping LeMons @ Phoenix.
