Racing harness mounting points(need pictures plz)

Looking to mount harnesses in my car. Need pictures of mounting points on the floor and the hardware used. I have a roll bar installed so that part is easy. just need to know how to mount the lower section. thanks ahead of time!

All you wan to do is meet the belt angles recommended by sanctioning bodies and the manufacturer of the belt... The shoulder belts to within 15-20deg from horizontal ~ to you harness bar. The lap belts: you can mount one end where the stock seat belt metal bar bolted to the b-pillar. the other lap belt you can bolt on the tranny tunne (reinforcement required, no lillipop req.) or to the seat bracket if you can too. The submarine straps (5, 6 or 7pt harness) you bolt to the floor board with a reinforcement plate of decent area. Just find a nice intelligent place where, at the position where you will be seating, the correct angle is met. I used a 4x4" Al plate on EACH pt for my submarine straps (6pt), a lollipop bolt (plus the hook thing to transition for the harness) with a bigass washer and lock nut behind the reinf. plate.
    No more e30s for me.

      1) Your harnesses should have come with instructions from the MFR. If not, check their website, but if htat yields nothing, then
      2) Go to your rule book, if that is no help, then
      3) Go to HMS Motorsport and look up the mounting instructions on Schroth harnesses - they are pretty comprehensive.

Yup.Check with the manufacturer's or retailer's website for installation procedures. I also highly recommend checking your sanctioning body's website for rules.

^^^ I always was under the impression that you should never bolt the right side lap belt to the seat bracket. I would definitely go the tranny tunnel route. more work, but i think it's a lot safer. that's how i ran mine.

Bolting the inner lapbelt to the latch bracket is indeed not recognized for racing. It must be bolted to the shell. It is accepted at many DEs.

One word of advise if using stock three-point belts on a race shell seat. The lap portion of the belt shall never go above the side bolsters. You must pass the belts in the holes. Otherwise, you will not be secured. Tuner cars with race shells and 3-point belts (Porsche, AC Schnitzer) have the 3-point belt go thru the holes, not over the sides.

And now for th obvious: no rollbar, no harness.
