I learned a lot between track days and driving in the snow. Snow driving is great for learning the dynamics of a car and playing with the brink of traction with less risk.

i like tracking different platforms. I had only done trackdays in rwd cars or bikes, so I got the chance to do a trackday borrowing my buddy's evo and had a blast. totally different mashing the gas post apex and using the throttle to steer the car tracking out.

i can't say specifically what I've learned from trackdays, because there's so much. I recommend them to everyone, even non-car-people with decent cars, as it helps so much with car control (and is so much fucking fun).

Smoothly controlling weight transfer to maximize adhesion at all times. I think I learned this best in my first lemons car (200sx). Driving a slow POS on Monroe shocks and stock springs will REALLY teach you how to drive smooth.

        Overall car control.

This skill alone makes people a lot better and safer drivers on our streets.

It's a toss up between two things:
                1) Don't lift
                2) How to take my foot off the brake (sounds easy but doing it well is hard - knowing when, and quickly yet smoothly to control weight transfer at the right time)

Lift can be good, even in a corner as it allows you to transfer weight to the ront wheels for increased grip, and makes the rear end lighter. All'n'all, it makes you steer.

In some tight corners, you may even need it to steer properly.

I thought it was implicit but ok I can qualify it - don't lift just because you get scared/startled by something mid corner (oversteer, hill, realizing you're too fast/early etc).

hit em before and power out or hit em hard, break it loose and control a drift ,
