I am doing my first auto X even tomorrow. should i keep my 17x 7.5 wheels on whit nice tires or should i run my 14" weaves wth ok tires. thanks

which ones have better grip/ better tires? If they're the same, do the 14s.

the 17's have z grade proxies. the 14's have some costco specials R grade with decent tread left.

It's your first auto-x. I would go with the 17s, just go to have fun; not trying to be #1 ;) read the auto-x sticky and you should be good to go.

I'd rock the 14's with crappier tires. The car's limits will be lower and you can learn to control it better.
