      Back to the question:

      The clutch slave cylinder should effectively bleed itself if you pump the pedal, just make sure to keep fluid in there. Sounds like it's time for a new clutch.

        Not really, if there is air in the system you need to pump the clutch then hold it down while you open the bleeder valve on the slave cylinder.
