    g240 in track car

have a m50nv w/g240 in my 318 that I want to track,HPDE for now maybe TT later..been driving on the street for a year and really no problem, shifts fine, good engine power, only issue is my 4.10LSD is noisy and am going to swap it to a 3.73LSD
question,is the g240 going to hold up at the track,or should I swap it out with a g250 (which I have)
I may keep it in there and see, since i dont have the correct DS

    anyone running the same setup??

Is the Getrag 240 the transmission that came in the 91 318i/s?

If so, we just started running that transmission in our D-mod race car. We have 5 track days on that transmission in the car. So far no problems.

We put out 300hp to the rear wheels on a DynoDynamics Dyno.

There are at least two versions of the g240...the early one is used with m10 cars and the late model g240 is the one used in dohc m40 cars.

Hang on you can use the box off the M10 (316i,318i) on an M50? I thought you couldn't.

I have a G240 in my car and it's been tracked and beat on relentlessly, has about 400k on it and no grinds or noises. My small case diff on the other hand, sucks.

That's what I thought... I got really happy for a second! It's the only thing I need before I start my M50 Turbo conversion on my road e30.
