I have the Bridgeston RE01-R's on my 325i, it's on Spec E30 suspension, with a stock rear sway bar. With the 205/50/15's it grips a lot better than it ever did with the RT-615 Azenis on 14" wheels. The feel is a whole lot better, good enough to get me 3rd in the local catch-all class, and 10th overall after not auto-xing all year.

I was recently running the Kumho XS (215/45/17) on my 318i, truely incredibly amounts of grip, but they did fall short in the rain.
I just ordered at set of 205/50/15 Z1 star specs.
The reason I am switching is that the z1 wears a lot better, but they also do much much better in the rain. I ran against my friends bug and we would generally run similar autoX times. In corners though I could tell he had an advantage in speed.
