anyone have a write up to lower the steering column?

I have Recaro SRDs that mount pretty low and the steering wheel feels ridiculously high. Is there a write up how to lower the steering column?

    Thanks.

yeah, It's quite easy. In my car, there were two bolts (although I think I read they are supposed to be some sort of security rivet type thing? if so, just drill it out and replace with nut/bolt/spacer). All I had to do was get two longer 13mm bolts and spacers (I chose 1cm) between the steering column and where it mounts to.

I ended up using a combination of a dremel with a cutoff wheel and a chisel to knock the heads off the rivets, then just spaced it down with some nuts and washers until I could feel some resistance where it goes through the firewall.

not the whole dash; just the lower dash, steering column covers, gauge cluster...might even be able to do it with just the lower dash removed but it is certainly easier the more stuff you pull off.
