Pictures of the new 300x32mm floating hat/rotors

Just eye candy. I realized I have not previously published any visual of that new combo on the Race kit. So, I quickly assembled the new aluminum hats and stainless steel drive-pins with an old worn rotor. The floating allows indepenent expansion of the stel rotor and aluminum hats, which expand at different rates and different temps. Le lateral float is a slip-fit with minimal play. No noise. The extra width of the air gap allows for improved cooling compared to a 21mm disc. More air go thru the vanes, more heat gets evacuated, and less of that heat gets transmitted to the caliper's pistons, and fluid.

Very nice! Eventually I will quit spending my money on other things and upgrade to your floating hats... :D

Hi Bob. If your current hats work fine, then keep them. Especially that I stopped doing gold anodizing as managing colours was not easy.
