depends on your rates....ots konis are fine up to a point..then go GC or TCK Konis.

if you rates are on low end..go billies.

    try shocks.com.....ask 4 arthur.....

    or go gc..ask for jay

I talked to gc, but i found them here:

thmotorsports.com 147/piece on the front 94/piece on the back.

i'm gonna run g/c coils with 450 front and 700 rear springs

just be informed...I dont know if ots konis will handle 700 lbs over time.

and are both frt and rr top adjust?

so rrs are NOT top adjust.

ots means off the shelf...... meaning valving by koni ......and normal frt housing length...not shortened.

so, what's the bottom point? i shouldn't run the coilovers on any type of not-shortened shock?

i don't mind welding the shit on there, but i would like some nice shocks

Talk to GC and get the shocks they can supply for the spring rates you'll be using.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

                      long story short:

the rrs you described need to be removed to adjust...altho I know of a few folks that do it on car...but bottom bolt needs to be undone....the top adj rrs adjust from inside the trunk!...BUT you prolly will never adjust them.....most folks on the street dont.

If you buy OTS rr shocks.....Im not sure 700 lbs wont blow them out in a yr or so....

so buy frt OTS.......and talk to GC about rrs.......

ask GCs opinion about OTS Konis and your rates....but 450 frt is not hat hi...

                      is this a street car?.........

                        it's a street/ autox car.

I did talk to gc, and as much as i'd like to buy their stuff, i can't afford 1500 right now. They said that if i can find Koni sport that i'll be good to go and just weld the sleeves to the strut housings.

I'd be very happy if they hold up a year. I'm not expecting them to last forever, i know i'll get what i pay for, so a year i'd be happy like a pig in shit.

Right now i gotta M50 that i had laying around going in it, next sumer i hope to have an s52 completely rebuilt and ready to drop in the car, which would that i could get a full g/c setup.

I'm pretty sure that is the GC set up my son ended up with on his '89 I. Koni sport shocks SA front/rear. pretty decent for DD , drivers school, spirited drives. weld the spring perch plate, not the sleeve!,to the strut tube. Cost was a factor in our shock selection. ended up at Shox.com since GC didn't have stock. GL

Might want to upgrade your rear shock mounts GC, AKG ect.

Ground control rep said that's their most preffered and bought spring rate setup. Plus my buddy has them and they ride great for a dd.

And yes i meant welding the perch not the sleve LOL, sorry, long and hot day down here in TN :P

You have to pay to play...
