Race Seat for "Bigger" people

I have an utrashield with the black cloth pad, It is a good seat. any way you look at it racing seats are not comfortable. Good news is you are a fat bastard so you are a better off than skinny guys that usually get bruised up a bit in most race seats. One thing I like about the ultrashield is they have good lower leg support where with a sparco or like you have that pad that always seems to come loose in driver changes. If you get in a bind let me know, I may consider selling my passenger seat, just not sure about how to ship it and it may be more hassle than it is worth. -

first hand advice
Get ahold of Mike Akard, I'm sure he's been through a few seats and has a spot on opinion,
He's taller and heavier, but probably has a good idea.
Giant body, Giant heart.
He'll give you some pointers.Leave a comment:

man, for the sizes available, ultra-shield rally sports look like a good option, just dont look incredibly comfortable...am I wrong?Leave a comment:

Sorry, I ment the Sparco evo 3 would fit you.34" vs 40" is a pretty big difference...
I wouldnt mind being in the 500-600 range for a seat if it made it worth it. I looked at the corbeau FX1 wide....in pictures it looks nice, but havent seen it or sat in it in person.
Also the momo supercup xl is seeming a good option...
anyone used buddy club seats? (yes i know they are typically used in japanese cars, but i'm not concerned)
But off ebay, two seats shipped for around 800.Leave a comment:

I bought a Cobra Sebring GT Pro and absolutely love it. A bit on the pricy side, but having a full head restraint seat is important. You'll only need it when you need it, but when you do...it could save your life.
BTW, I am 6'4" 210 and a 36" waist.Leave a comment:

I've sat in the FX1 narrow version (pro?) and can flex the seatback by pushing with my knees on the floor when sitting. It didn't give me tons of confidence in the seat. Fit me great though, width and height.Leave a comment:

seats
what price point?.....250/350/450/550/650 and up?...
Racetech make great big seats..but open your wallet.
You need to try on a few seats...find a track and go and plant your butt a bit.
you tried the interior forum here?......thats a funny one.
Go to bimmerforum.com...race section....... and search.
The Forza wide will be one of the best values......but it wont compare to Sparco or Racetech in terms of workmanshipLeave a comment:
