    Hit the track last night.

A few of us went to the track last night.I left rather disappointed.I ran 5 times and sprayed 3 of those.Track was hard to hook up on...my 195/65/14 tires propably didnt help much either.

Anyways fastest without spraying was 15.14 @ 90.Fastest spraying was 14.32 @100.40 For comparison on that run a slightly modded evo was running a 13.05 @105.21 60ft times were me 2.29 evo 1.95

There was an evo club there with most hitting low 13s a few got into the 12s.

I had to let go briefly on every single run to stop spinning.Gotta get new WIDER tires. It was fun some other guys from here went Ill let them post their results.

I was in a bind last summer and sold my rims.I put Kumho 716 ECSTA HP4 on my basketweaves. Funny thing was the ricers kept telling me "dude spin the tires to warm them up..." I just gave them a blank stare.

Sorry I wasnt street racing and that weather in your area does not permit you being able to go to enjoy the seasons first open track day.Ive had the exact same mods since 2000 so its nothing new.Just different results on a different day.
This is the group I hang out with.hardly the definition of ricers your trying to imply.Fuck it mods just delete this thread.Idiotic comments is what prevent most people posting something useful, informative, or entertaining.Ill just browse and not post much until the maturity level reaches post adolescence. Its no wonder e30tech is growing so rapidly.

its funny how if peope don't agree with something they have to go out of the way to say something about it....If nitrous is so gay then why is there a section for Nitrous in the engine forum?

oh and the best part of that night was the Subaru Forrester beating the Evo 8 with a 13.7 and the evo 8 had a 13.8

I'm personally not the slightest bit interested in ever adding nitrous to my car but whatever, if you're into drag racing it's the cheapest speed you can buy...

In any case, while the local ricers have commited the all too common idiocy of translating race-tire procedures to street tires, you can sometimes benefit from a brief burnout. Not to heat the tires since they should have platy of heat for their street compound as long as it's not really cold out but to scrub off any dirt, pebbles, or other crap that your tires picked up in the parking area and staging lanes. 1-2 seconds is plenty for this. Another thing that gets me is how people tell you to under-inflate street radial tires because drag tires can work better that way. While drag tires flex more under-inflated and can grip better, street tires will just have their contact patch ruined, especially the sporty tires most of us have that have the stiffer sidewalls.
