    San Diego Autocross 9-18 Videos

Here are a couple of student ride along laps at the San Diego BMWCCA autocross Saturday 9-18-2010.

Driving an S50 powered E30 convertible with the top down so a little bit of wind noise on the video.

The video taken with a Flip HD. The camera started to aim toward the driver as it became loose on the mount. I use a homemade mount attached to the headrest of the front passenger seat.

These were good laps for my car which is about as heavy as E30's go (S50 with A/C, full interior, roll bar, 1 passenger and 3/4 tank of gas).

I couldn't stay for the official timed runs at the end of the day. I left shortly after these laps.

This was my second to last lap of the day.

This was my last lap of the the day.

Adjust your seating position, you should be sitting closer to the wheel. Nice videos though, love hearing that S50 at full song at 7 grand. What tires were you running?

Thanks, I run E36 cats and an M3 Remus catback exhaust. I really like the sound I get.

The camera might be causing it to look like it isn't close but I can put my wrists over the top of the wheel.

I run Nitto NT01's for autocross.

Close to 80 mph in a couple of spots on that course.
