i just got back from a 2 day SCDA driving school at watkins glen, and all i can say is holy shit. wayyy better than sex. im addicted. There's no better feeling than passing a viper, elise, boxer, gt3, corvette, and many s2000's in a fucking e30!! and getting it on video! (will post in members rides when i have it compressed and uploaded). all i can say is that everyone should be out there, its such a rush, and you learn so much. best weekend of my life.

fuck passing those cars... the driving was intense, passing those cars was just amuzing. i learned a shitload, and the thrill of pushing the car and myself to the edge was amazing.

and yes, the e30 held up damn well at the track, it suprized me too, everything felt better than normal.

So true. At my first event I thought the same thing Dan. I was the front runner of my novice run group and thought I was doing pretty good. Then the next time there were novices who had some experience so they're faster cars were just that, faster.

Then when I went to my first Chin Motorsports event I was completely humbled. They have a lot of track time (around 4 hours) but to do this they have open run groups, which means everyone runs together. I may have passed ~3 cars the whole time, while everyone else in the field was in faster cars and had more experience. Just caused you passed a few yuppies in Vipers does not make you god.
