    Chassis Reinforcement?

    Hello,

Is it necessary to reinforce the chassis/subframe when building an E30 track car? Are any of these products recommended?

X-brace, Front and Rear Strut brace, just to name a few... And I think they make a rear brace that links to your diff.

      Front strut brace is essential.
Rear one is totally useless unless you run rear coil-overs.
Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.

IMO some of those are pretty pointless or unnecessary.
The braces as the others have suggested and a roll bar/cage are going to be most of what you want. If you can link your roll bar/cage to the front strut towers you really wont need to do much else.

I used the akg sub-frame re-reinforcements when i built the SE30 car. The original sub-frame had a crack in it and that was street duty. I also used the swaybar mount reinforcements included in the UUC SwayBarbarian kit.

The front strut bar and x-brace are awesome, highly recommended.

do you have any pics of them installed? I'm curious as to where they go to get an idea of how they stiffen the chassis
