any one ever see a fast audi?

So i was talking a a mutual friend the other day, who had an Audi S4 with the 2.7t. We started talking shop about our cars, and when i started mentioning autocross and the likes, he told me he has probably the best handling car he knows of... i told him he should auto cross with me at an annual car show that's in our area every summer. He said he was down, and confident that he would stomp (he made it a contest, not me)...
Now, i don't know if this match up will ever actually happen, but last year, i ran the autocross in my bone stock v6 mazda6 w/bald tire and ran faster than a lowered S4, with the heavy V8, by 2 seconds. i realize that the turbo v6 is probably a little bit more nimble, so it got me wondering though; has any body ever seen an audi, sedan that could really get through the corners, or is it possible that my little e30 could make the big bad audi eat his words?

The current S4 pushes like a pig hunting for truffles. And he's go an old one, which will be worse.

Last time I was at the track there was another kid my age in high school with a new S4. I had my chipped eta on shocks and springs and it was pretty much a dead even match.

The fact that we were both driving pretty much as hard as we could and we both had to point by each other twice haha.

Really depends on the driver, but I give the edge to the S4 with AWD.

B5 S4's are not that great in handling, I would own all my friends a4/s4's with my stock e36 m3 coupe and I'm not a that well of a driver.

To answer the initial question, no. I raced a 2000 ish supercharged audi a4 in my e36 m3 that only had a catback, intake, and a supposed tune, and I stayed about a half a car ahead. Now as far as autocross goes, I've never seen an audi at an autocross event, so I do not know.

                            Thad.

Is this a stock B5 S4? If it is, then yeah, not the most powerful (still quick) and they are a bit on the heavy side. However, if it is reprogrammed (300hp-350ish ft/lb) or more (K04's and fuel will put these at 500+awhp) then watch out. A 2000ish PES supercharged A4 will almost hang with a stock S4...Almost. Figure though, this car is 1000lbs heavier than an e30, however they have awesome gearing, and a lot of low end torque as the small k03 turbos spool very fast.
