    E30 325is to GS?

The latest Fast Track has a proposal to move the 325is and 325ix to GS.

Thoughts? It seems it stands a better chance there than against the MINI S and Intregra Type R.

Who the hell has an E30 that is actually anything like Stock legal? Also, you're forgetting more relevant DS cars like the 330 and 135. :p (Also, the Mini S is in GS.)

The MINI S was moved to DS in 2010.

Yeah... I wasn't expecting much enthusiasm from the r3v crowd... But I'm not all that happy with my car in STX form and I'm considering restoring it back to stock spec.

since you are on east coast is stx rules put the e30 at a mighty advantage? I run a 240sx with my friends in ST2 and the class is quite fast.

Hmm... no more than those on the west coast... the rules are the same. It does seem like a 325is can run in STX well enough.

But for me and how I use the car, de-modding it to Stock-spec may be better. Not to mention a bit cheaper, since I'm looking at $3-4K (at least) to make the car competitive for STX.

I think GS is definitely the right fit for the 6-cyl E30s, they are at a serious disadvantage to the E36/E46 cars (let alone he ITR & MCS) in DS due to narrow wheels & soft spring rates. E36 & newer 3-series cars could potentially dominate GS though, moving any of them would be bad IMHO.

Now if they would just move the 91 318i/is to HS.....;)

What about weight limits?? do you think if they revised the minimum on e30s that it might help those in the class still ??? I know the rules are the same, but how is the class competition.

Umm... What? There are no significant ways to reduce weight on any car in Stock.
