What a weekend! Should have requested a day off from work to relax today lol.
I am competing in SM class again, but this time with the m30b35 and on v710 tires along with a co-driver who has a couple 1st/2nd place finishes in SM class over the previous years/seasons. My goal is to get the car at least in the top 3 finish locally :)
Saturday was the first even for this season, and a few issues came up that I needed to resolve before sunday. The driver side seat started to vibrate/move a little bit, and it was due to one of the 4 allen head bolts backing out that hold the seat itself to the bracket. Second problem was due to un-even rear pad wear and very little feedback. All four rotors and front calipers have been replaced with new, kept the hawk hp+ pads upfront and replaced the rears with new street pads. This improved things on sunday, but I'll try steel brake lines upfront and maybe add an adjustable bias valve as well.
We started the day with abour 29psi in the tires, not much drama, car is neutral and only wants to swap the ends in a few areas coming out of the long sweepers into a transition area before sharp hair pins.
Power is more than enough for now, and the main issue is the diff as it's having a hard time putting down the power through both wheels coming out of the corners. The current ratio of 3.64 is working perfectly though. We both can easily feel when the diff unloaded, spun the inside and loaded back. I am currently looking at either getting it rebuild or buying a new rebuilt diff. Suggestions are welcome!
