    interesting autox result

I ran my M3 powered e30 in an autox at Miller Motorsports Park in Utah last weekend. I put 275/35/15 Hoosier A6s on it.

I had to space the bumper an inch forward and cut about an inch on the front and rear edges of the fender in order to clear. The springs are set at 650 front and 750 rear, so there wasn't any problem with the car leaning into the tires.

I was amazed at the performance. The car did everything I asked it to. I never found the limit of what it could do. That day, there were only 3 cars faster than me... a supercharged lotus elise, a race prepared corvette, and a monster STI.

OP - can you post close up pictures please? That's the tire size I am looking at running as well but want to extend the fenders.

10 inch wheels, 4.5 inch back spacing, no spacers but I had to grind away part of the caliper carrier for clearance.

the inner plastics in front are removed. The rears are still there.

What wheels did you run those tires on? I'm looking for a set of 10's to run those same tires on an e21. Good job btw.

the wheels were special makes by Spin Werkes. They are either 12 or 14 lbs... can't remember which.

that's awesome. I'm sure if that camber is dialed in a lil more in the (-) you probably wont ever find the things limits anytime soon. I'm in for a video!?

Thanks for the info. That looks like the the cheapest, light custom wheel I've seen so far.
