There was a local Porsche club autocross today at the Mather Air Field and I signed up for after learning that they were open to other makes. For the most part they were a bunch of 914, Boxter and 911 cars from N/A to Turbo and to the latest GT3 with center-locks and carbon fiber wheels.
The event was LONG, even though they were open to only 60 cars or so vs our typical SCCA events with 100+ (last SCCA event was at 160/170 cars). There were 3 run groups, and runs were done with the 1st lap as warm-up lap and then two consecutive individual timed runs.
Anyways, FTD was done by an SCCA old school vette at 37.x seconds, and most Porsches were in the 43-45+ seconds with the exception of a very few getting into low 41s from what I've seen.
Me and my-codriver got my car into high 39s-41s runs through the day...and once again confirmed we need a new diff with more-lock up BAD. And I need to replace the used radiator with the new one, lose the AC condenser and mount the fan to the rad for better cooling.
Here a couple pics from the event, I'll update this thread with more as I finish uploading them.
