$2000 is my going rate for a custom 6+2 point SCCA legal cage, Nascar door bars! Have done 14 cages in the last 4 months alone. A SpecE30 would be the same. In Central Florida! check out some of the builds at chrisleonemotorsports.com

Getting back to the original question: the only bolt-in bars/cages worth your time are those by Safety Solutions (UK) and Wiechers Sport (Germany). Heigo (also german) isn't too far off for quality.

But when you factor in the exchange rate, taxes/duties, and shipping from Europe, the total price will end up being about the same as a basic custom weld-in bar/cage.

Yes, go with a custom cage. I walked away from this two days ago with a single scratch. End over end once, three barrel rolls, 70 mph. The cage was flawless...

glad you're ok. end over end sounds rough. cage looks like it did it's job well though.

                  Thanks. Shaken, not stirred.

Now I have even more confidence in the cage he built for me.

As a side note, do your research of who's building your cage. Look and feel other cages they have done. Pay attention to the welds, some guys rush or just forget to weld something.

Speak from recent problem I ran into.

Yeah, I would not be considering bolt-in crap if I were you. Just bite the bullet--your life isn't worth it.
