    October 8-9 Putnam Park HPDE

    Looks like October 8th and 9th there is an HPDE at Putnam Park here in Indiana. I know DaveCN is going and I was going to just go and chill with him. I decided that I should have enough money to do the one day HPDE on the 8th. This will be my FIRST hpde ever. My first time on a track. My first time on at Autox course will be Sept 25th so I will have basically zero track experience and VERY little autox experience. What kind of tips do you guys have for me on my first track event?

      Seriously, glad to hear you are signing up. It is also my first HPDE, and I haven't auto-xed since you were in diapers. My thinking for you is make sure your car is mechanically sound, bleed the brakes with Super Blue or something similar. Make sure you have good pads.

      Oh yeah, and bring a helmet.

      NASA has a good page on their site on what you need to do to get ready.
