I raced at Hutchinson Island this past weekend in Club races that were a part of the HSR race weekend. The track was built for Indy Light racing in 97 and seldom sees any racing so none of use had ever seen the track before. It is a fast fun course, but there is little to no run-off room. I throughly enjoyed the weekend.
The video of the first race is below. Qualifying was wet and a few folks decided the risk was too much and elected to start from the back. I went out and got a pretty decent time, though it was a bit scary on track. I started 4th out of 10 cars. We had 3 Spec E30's there and they started behind me.
Video of the race is below. It is kind of boring until about half way when a fast guy in a Spec E30 that started at the back catches up. We ran nose to tail for a while until I made a little mistake and he gets around. A little while later he makes a little mistake and I regain the lead and have him right behind me all the way to the checker for the win in class. When two drivers are running that close whoever makes the last mistake looses.
