Well the first question to you is, why do you need R-Compounds?

Second is how cheap and how much life is left in the tire?

I am doing a few events in auto-x and there is not a good competitive tire in 15" that's street legal. The Falken are good but don't want to spend that much money on new tire to chunk them. These are broken in R's and I'm getting 6 for $90. I mount and balance my own tire so that's not an issue and I have dedicated track wheels so another issue solved as I would not drive these on the street.

Need? No but the class I run in with my mods and chapter that runs the event, I'm running street tires and cars grouped with me have R's so it's kinda a no brainer.

Taking a few more preppared course will help on street tires but would like to see full potential of the car.

Well they are very cheap.... and since your doing AutoX then I don't see harm in it... I just recommend people who start doing track events not to get right into R-Compounds due to the learning curve...

Oh, I realize that if I have bad habit these will just mask them.

Happens much to often! I see teens rolling in with heavily modified STIs and Evos (with a dedicated set of R compounds, of course) for their first time on the track.

Fun to watch Miatas run circles around them.

Sounds like a good deal if theres tread left. Get them.

They are shaved, I got and have used them already. They are sticky but need to learn just how far you can push one before it breaks.

I really doubt that you'll be chunking a set of Azenis at an autox... but I guess crazier things have happened.

Mine have held up against a 24hr autox, 2 full weekends on track, and 3 months of spirited daily driving.

Not arguing about the R-comps, just wanted to put in my 2cents about Falkens.
