I have my eye on the Aim Solo like mentioned earlier. Once I get my car shaken down and a couple of "wanted" pieces put in the car I think I'll pull the trigger on one of these units. Looks like a great piece for the price

Second Q's. Now from my research the phone app lap timers seem to be hit and miss, even with what they call a tom tom something...... Do the gps in those just put out a bad signal. What im getting at is are the cheaper gps lap timers going to work good or be hit and miss. As a noob Im not ready for a full data loger(cant afford) but like to be able to time my laps to figure out the best lines ect...

This android app has a special connector driver that allows me to connect to some more accurate GPS setups.
I went with this unit here that has good reviews.

I just won on ebay the Aim MyChron Light TG lap timer. it was pretty cheap so i will see how good this one works. I will probable use this one till I can afford a nice data logger.
