First Track experience

I took my E30 to New Jersey motorsports park this weekend, actually there was an American touring car track meet but they needed as many entries as possible so there were some imports, a 350Z, my e30, an E90, and a mitsu Evo... I had a blast, and my car did great. I placed 14th fastest lap out of 48 cars, and these cars were serious $$$ machines, mostly old american musclecars set up with badass suspensions and brakes, most of them had LS motors..

This primered camaro in the pic had all Vette underpinnings and even a vette dash and steering wheel (wtf).. and he had a bumper cam, which WASNT WORKING at the moment he was behind me on Turn one, which is a sharp blind right turn, going up over a hill.. I kept hitting the inside apron and my car was bouncing three wheels off the ground! fun times.

That camaro was very fast.
my car has e36 5 lug m3 swap/z3 rear.( m3 front brakes -z3 rear brakes). bilstiens with GC coilover kit for a 318ti.. IE Urethane bushings everywhere.. GC camber caster plates/e30 m3 CABS ... IE rear toe/camber kit.. 4.10 LSD .. E 36 rack... 5speed, stock m20 with m30 injectors/chip/k&N filter (I need more power!!).. . I definitely had the least amount of money into my car and had probably more dun than half those guys..

Good showing for the bmw! Im surprised a nova had the fastest in the autoX event if I read that correct.

The nova had tons of work.. super low.. huge brakes.. 18's .. ls1... all these cars were insane. This one guy autocrossed his 66 tempest and killed it! He was on my ass on the road course too

I think the actual fastest autox was my bosses 70 dart.. but he's running under 200 treadwear tires so they disqualified him in scoring .. as they did with me and my friend in his '11 mustang

I totally forgot to mention that I ran the whole track day with a hole in my radiator! I pulled out of the hotel that morning and my coolant light came on, one blade decided it didnt wanna be part of the fan anymore and subsequently knocked a hole in the lower row of the radiator. No parts store had a radiator, so I removed it, crimped off the messed up row, dumped bars leak in there, and ran the whole day on the track and she's still sealed up
