Wow nice write-up and awesome pics! Glad you had a great weekend! My dad is the original owner of an all original '88 M3 so I totally know what you mean when you say they are beautiful cars. His is 100% stock though, not as sweet as that one. I'd take it...

As for the IX... it's sitting in the barn downstate. It has some mild t-case problems and some more suspension problems. I pulled the plate and insurance until i find the money and time to fix it properly.

I might have to stop by sometime. You live up behind Hardee's or that general area right? I think i see your car parked up there a lot. Its a bummer you won't be around to help beat the piss outta the '80 this summer but I might have it around in the fall for the rally-x.

Two things, A particularly long awaited possible cold that took 5 days to show that I indeed had it and dropped me like a rock, and an acceptance certificate to MTU.

One was obviously better than the other.

I figured it might happen. I wasn't planning on going, then a friend of mine talked me into it at the last minute, didn't have time to pick up new track pads - and the street ones apparently don't like being in that temperature range (once they stopped smoking the bite came right back, and I was able to stop it before the gravel). Brakes are fine now.

Ahh gotcha. Yeah RA is definitely hard on the brakes with those long straights. You were looking pretty good in the 4th session when I was down in Canada corner.

A few of those cars will be on the One Lap of America with us, starting this weekend (the event at RA will be May 11th). Damn those TopSpeed guys for getting up to RA for some testing.... They are going for win #2 with that GTR.

I don't really know what times they were running, the group organizing the event didn't give out transponders or anything. But yes they were using the kink, not that funky chicane thing (I think they call it the motorcycle loop).

And yeah I was wondering why the Topspeed group was there all the way from Georgia until I found out that they were testing for One Lap. And man did that car look incredible out there.
