Im tired of taking my car to Sacramento raceway and tired of telling people what kind of dipshit motorsport strait lining is (sorry of this offends anyone). I want to do some track or autox and building my car to do so. My problem is i know nothing about the rules and regulations for this. If anything, What must i do to my car to be able to take it to the infineon or Thunderhill track days (cage, full suit, etc)? Other than helmet i have nothing. help?

Best place to start is to find the clubs that run at the tracks in your area. Likely BMW CCA and NASA are places to start. You want to attend a BMW CCA Driving School - they will assign you to a novice group, or a NASA HPDE, signing up for HPDE1 - which is their novice level.
The thread above will talk you through a lot of the details.
Basicially - a safe street car that will pass tech When you register you will get a tech form you need to have completed by a competent shop) and a helmet that meets the reqrueiments of the club are all you need. Check your ego at the door - listen to your instructor and have fun.Current Cars2014 M235i2009 R56 Cooper S1998 M31997 M3
