Any reason to not go with the 15x8 c1s?

Glad to see another 318 out there on the track :D

I'm looking at that exact combo for wheels/tires and also h&r race+bilstein sports

              What's your feelings on them?

Not that I know of. I wanted to stay close to stock for SCCA purposes. Found out on H&R race springs you don't have much room for tire sizes. I'm running 205's front and 225's rear and the rears couldn't fit any snugger without rubbing.

Made a huge difference in handling but surprisingly the car is still very comfortable to drive. I was expecting the race springs to be hard as rocks but overall they are very livable. I was almost disappointed at first, I was expecting teeth rattling firmness.

The C1's are great and very light. For $400 shipped to the house new you can't go wrong.

Having said all that...if you're looking to race tires will make all the difference in the world. The R888's are good and have great wear but I'm gonna go with a slick next, well something like a Hoosier A or R6.

Its amazing what an E30 can do with a little suspension work and a talented driver. Great job, post some more vids!

Maybe I can get someone else to drive it then. BTW the stock steering rack was never meant to be on a track.

I'll upload my Mid Ohio vids today if I get a chance.

That's the first thing I thought when I viewed it. You seem to cope with it well, though. If the rules will allow it, there are several rack swaps documented here at r3v and elsewhere.

I don't think it breaks class rules, and to be honest I don't care. I don't autoX enough to compete for anything anyway. I would like to upgrade to the M3 or what was it E36 rack someday.
