    Chumps AIV - Average Internet Value - $$ - e30

Looking for someone to help out a fellow e30 racer.. I'm getting a late start at finding 10 Craigslist e30 Ad's for an up-coming race. I have been saving them for about a month and my AIV is still about $800. Really need to get under $500.

Do any of you fellow Chump racers have copies of AIV's I could have? Heck - at this point I might be willing to Paypal you some $$'s...

We are going to get slammed for having a m30 motor in our car but really want to be below $500 to help offset the laps..

    Anyone??

    my email is nd4speed@aol.com

    Thanks

My current AIV is $464. I'll scan and email you my ads either Sunday or Monday.

If you have any ads for under $500, let me know since I'm still looking to lower my AIV.

Which M30 are you running? If you do the research, you should be able to get that through with $0 increase.... at least on ebay right now values are damn near the same.

That sounds good. We have a few under $500 that I'll send you. Figure if we get a few team linked together we should be able to get the AIV low. There is another team that has a AIV at $490. I have asked if he will share and was a bit hesitant. I think if I ask again I might be able to get his low ones. Heck - I have saved his butt more then once with our spare parts pile.

We have the lower HP b34/m30.. Good point to print out prices for m30 motors to help. We have been doing Lemons for the last 4 yrs so the Chumps game is all new to us...

      Thanks

We have done 8 Lemons races and have now done 3 Chump races. We love Chump a lot better! We have never been hassled for our car value at Chump races. When we ran with Lemons every BS tech sucked.

Our last Chump race at Buttonwillow last month, we had our new 1990 325is car. Some of the guys on the team found a list from Chump that had racecars that will always be valued at $500. As long as the car was stock, they would not give you a hard time. We did not have to produce a AIV. Are you guys familar with this?

I just found it, Its the basic $500 car rule. We have "not" changed anything on our car. :) Or at least they do not or could not find any changes, so we qualified for the Basic $500 rule. not sure if your car will make it.

            Hey Purplehazedog -
Yeah - we saw the $500 rule but with a non-stock motor we will need some help. We have been doing Lemons for 4yrs and got to the point they never opened our hood anymore so it was no big deal..

With this being the first Chumps race we want to make sure we have everything organized and help minimize the penalty laps.

If you know of anyone with low dollar AIV's I'm willing to pay :)

Can't wait to hit the track - got the HID's installed on the car tonight..

In my experience they just eyeball the car and make an assessment based on how fast it looks compared to other cars there. They handcap the fast ones and let the slow ones go. Just my experience from our race at Laguna.
