Racing4Vets is raising funds to send injured U.S. military veteran John Vann to race car driving school. John will participate in his first High Performance driver training program run by the National Auto Sport Association at Virginia International Raceway, VIR, in a lightly modified “SpecE30″ class BMW E30 325i. October 12-14, 2012.
John Vann is a combat-injured retired U.S. Army Senior Staff Sergeant who served in Iraq. In 2005 his Humvee was destroyed by an IED, causing severe physical injuries, traumatic brain injury (TBI) and PTSD. He spent nearly 3 years in recovery, including VA Sports Clinics and Team River Runner sports programs. John is back driving and is now ready to pursue his dream to go auto racing.
