NASA HPDE, Road Atlanta, March 18-19

Gauging interest. Its a full weekend - I emailed to see if they know how many sessions, session length.

Here's the best part - if you are a NASA member, you can buy a gift certificate now for $229 from NASA Southeast that is good for a weekend event. The fee for this one is supposed to be $349. That 's $120 for hotel, eats, fuel, brake fluid . . .

We had a decent e30 contingent at the October HPDE at Putnam in Indiana. I am planning on Hoosier CCA at Putnam in April.

This for $229 though looks like a good deal. And a good way to get some of you SE boys together - and not just for waxing the cars and taking pictures.;)

Any interest? I know there are some GA guys around (Prince - if you could get thing to pass tech, you;d have a blast), you TN guys, (skafrog et al, unless you are CCA racing that weekend) Carolinas. Let me know. Its about a 7 hour drive for me, but I'd do it if there were a good group.

    -Dave

EDIT: I know this sounds early, but I know some people want to save up for these kinds of things. Also, the gift certifiicate discount must be purchased by December 31.

I am trying to get the $799 4-event deal. If not, I'll see which of the dates will be to my suiting and I'll let you know which one(s) I will attend. I believe we have till Dec. 31 to close in on the x-mas deal.

I'd love to go. I'm sure Trevor would go too.

I also bet I could get my Dad to go.
The BMW 318 is back. With a vengeance.

I would like to go, but I'll need to register with NASA first.

Emailed them about session schedules/length - still up in the air until they get the registration finished, but she gave me the following info:

In 2005 RA Aug event the total track minutes are listed below for HPDE.
                  Total weekend
                  HPDE 1 160
                  HPDE 2 160
                  HPDE 3 160
3 sessions Sat and 3 sessions Sun either 20, 25 or 30 minutes each.
HPDE 1 and 2 have instructors in the car. HPDE1, 2 and 3 have classroom
sessions as well as track time.

160 minutes for the weekend is pretty good, if you get it for $229, it is great.
