    Some laps around NJMP - E30 M3

Here are some of my laps from Oct14-15th HPDE event at NJ Motorsports Park, it is my 3rd time ever at a track so take it easy on me. Car has 163k miles but still pulls pretty well in 3rd and 4th.

I am on Hankook RS3 tires and 15in TR Motorsport wheels with a stock s14.

Looks like a ton of fun! Were you purposely low on gas for weight? I've never tracked a day in my life but this video makes it seem less daunting. It seems a lot nicer than being on the street with every a-hole trying to race/beat you b/c their penis is inadequate. Very "anti-competitive" in the video, seems like a fun time.

Sorry I can't truly comment on your performance since I know nothing of being on a track, but overall you looked calm and for the most part in control of your M.

Nice job being smooth and light on the controls.

thanks for you comment ! you should definitely go out it is a lot of fun. I was not purposely low on gas (i am not that good), obviously running in 4k-7k rpm range for the whole day eats up your gas, but also the G-forces during the turns makes the gas slosh around setting off the light and starving the fuel pump. it's always a good idea to have some gas in the tank.

thanks, my whole goal for the session was to be smoother on all of my inputs. im still learning and sometimes when i am doing too much like braking right before a turn i tend to either forget to be smooth with braking or smooth with turning.

3rd time ever????? Great job on the smooth inputs. Better yet, way to apply what your instructor was teaching you. You improved when you did and you you recognized the the result of your efforts....Free it up on the exits and let that S14 pull you down the straights..... Proof that when you are willing to learn, you will improve. NICE

looks smooth just 1 thing I noticed is that you should get on the gas sooner coming out of the turns.

Nice work! I was actually there in my Lotus Cortina for one of MY first races earlier this summer! You have good lines, and it's a great idea to take it easy and solidify those before throwing the car around and losing time by overdriving. The hardest place for me is that uphill; I just never feel like I'm in the right place. Which gears are you using? It looks like it's all 3 or 4. Do you use second out of the hairpin after the tunnel? Keep up the good work! Here's a comparison video if you're curious:

Hehe, I'm going to take credit for some of this. I've been pushing Stan to take his M3 out for track time ever since I met him.

We really wanted to LRP this season but didn't have the time. Perhaps next season we'll see you there!

I do miss LRP though. Been a few years since I was there last. Have to make time to get there at least once next season.
