    Strut vs Long arm/short arm

Not new to racing, leanred alot running short arm long arm suspensions.

    question:
    our first strut car
how does struts affect weight transfer as opposed to a long arm short arm ( standard old school chevy)

Racing in canada so feel free to PM knowing I wont be against you!

Weight transfer is dictated by many factors like cg height, track width, wheelbase etc etc but with regards to suspension design roll center location is found a little differently but the effects are the same. The main difference is the camber gain with compression.Generally you need to run more static camber with a strut design. For the record I'd put more faith in the bmw strut setup then what gm came up with in regards to performance.I ice race in Ontario so its kinda similiar trying to maximise grip on a slick surface.
