    School me on "rally" events..

South Jersey SCCA is offering a rally event (not rallycross) in which you're driving backroads in "search" for the finish line
This is the official event flyer

Now has anyone done this? Is it challenging/worth it/fun?

TSD's are fun. Do it. Its much more a social event than anything else the SCCA offers up.

IDK about the social aspect, every discipline has it's own social aspect I guess. TSD's your usually out on your own (with your codriver) most of the time, whereas you spend a lot more time around people in solo for instance.

But yes OP, definitely try it. They are a lot of fun in their own way, does help a lot if you have someone who has some experience, but there will be plenty of people willing to help out if you need it. Just google TSD's, should be plenty of info about them and how they work. And be prepared to be amazed at how incredibly good some people are at them...

Never had a nice breakfast buffet and a nice dinner, with wine after any SOLO events...

Then you haven't been to Solo Nationals... ;)

Regardless, that stuff comes down to the event itself and the region putting it on more than anything. There are tons of awesome people in each discipline that love nothing more than to help out, share wisdom, and just talk cars. "Come for the cars, stay for the people."
