    Laguna Seca

I already posted this in this car's thread, but I figure it really belongs here.

First time on track in my own car, first time at Laguna. Fun fun fun.

    From Bimmerman325i's car

    Rally line!

Can't wait to go back, maybe without a huge luxobarge next time. :) But it was still a whole lotta fun.

Man, what's it feel like dropping that far through the S curve? That first pictures does a great job of showing the overall drop!

First lap is invalid, you went over the turtles after the last turn!

That looked awesome! But why no e30?!!

Question, was that an instructor in the passenger seat or a friend? Was this a DE event or just open track day?

Just curious about how these track events are run on the west coast.

I didn't hit no turtles! Rumble strips on the other hand... Most every lap.

E30 is still under the knife and won't be track worthy for awhile.

Nah just a buddy. There were instructors, but only if you signed up for the beginner (slow) run group. I signed up for the faster intermediate run group, where passing on straights is open and you can pass under point by anywhere.

Looking back at the video now I have at least another second in there. My strut mounts are toast from all those rumble strips though :)

Very cool. I'd love to drive Laguna Seca one day. It's my favorite track on GT5!

Around what speed are you going into the lefthander turn one at the end of the straightway after the start finish line?

                    Looks like fun.

Does it make you feel like you need more power going up the hill before the corkscrew? It looks steep

Yeah it's a momentum car, even with 300 treadwear tires. Uphill it wasn't anemic but it was pretty slow. Couldn't pass anyone up the straights (well except miatas) but I would catch up in braking zones and corners.

I'd guess around 85ish going into 1 and 105-110 into 2. Play the video in 1080p and look at the speedo. 80 is straight up.

Well shit! I couldn't watch the videos from work. You're pushing those tires and car to the limit! Nice driving.

Would turn 1 be condsideres near the start/finish and turn 2 at the bottom of the hill?
