    Which SS Brake Line Kit?

    Hey

We are lemons racers in a 87 325ic. Which stainless steel brake line kit if the one to go with if the team has some very good (and not so good) drivers?

Buy from Steve at blunttech. Ran mine on the track and autox and they work great. He's got them the cheapest I believe as well

Only premium, coated, SS lines should be used. And even then they won't be any better than new OE lines.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I got mine from FCP Groton/euro for cheaper than anywhere else.

And I know you have more experience than me jlevie, but I really don't see how rubber lines could be better than SS in anyway. They are marginally cheaper and a worse material. Yes, most flex is due to old, worn and cracking lines, but why not prevent that from ever happening again with SS?

Goodridge USA makes the kind of lines Jim is talking about, they're quite nice. You might have to call and special order them I don't know.

They are much cheaper, and contain a metal braid internally. SS lines don't last forever, far from it...changing every 3-5 seasons, if not sooner, is pertinent. Also, you can visually see when rubber lines are degrading; not so with SS.

I have the Bimmerworld lines. Fitment on the front is pathetic, since they're e30/36/46. To do it again, I would spend the $50 or whatever on OE lines and be done with it.

Because instead of flexing, when they get old SS lines just fail.
