first post - bmw rally guys

hey, all. I will make this long.....well maybe not.

    brief history:

first car austin MINI. twin leading 1.5 front drums don't work that
well and never did. wrecked into a curb and ruined the motor/unibody.

THEN i got my first bmw, 1600 with sunroof. threw a rod and found
a dented up 2002. neadless to say it got even more dented in my hands
and eventually put a cage in it to run scca rally. drove the dog out of
it and lerned a lot about "good" pre work. and what fails when you air it
out 3'. that was about 5 years ago. now i have a small car collection of
a 1600 shell, 318 with thrown rod and a 2002 shell. this 2002 will get the full cage. this time to NEW rally america rules and get all the parts off
    my old rally prodject.

Rally rules for open class 2WD NA is max 3000cc with a MIN weight of
2400lbs. I just won a bid on a super eta with some work done to it
and will enetually stoke it to 2.9 area.

I guess what i am looking for is do you think a 2002 with a m20 and a full
1.75x.095 cage will come in around 2400? might have to run some balast
but i think very few will be at the min weight. that will give me a bit of a advantge.

    see that wasn't too long.

good to be here. this board is bigger than the 2002 forums. now i feel i can drop by having a m20 motor.
