picked up a seat and i am having some difficulty getting it in their is is a OMP WRC

my plan was to get some 1x2.5 in square tube drill on side to the stock studs the other to the side mount brackets i pick up with the seat. This did not work seat was too high for my to get a helmet on in thar car (I am 6'2").
So i would like to see how other people have gotten thar Race/track seats in and how much room is gained by removing the center console and trimming back the carpet by your right knee? wouldent be to hurt by stripping some interior bits back got the thing for 500 not running, unplugged DME
